Well it is all but done! No more 2010.
Have you seen the crowds in our fair city?
I can remember when Aussies went to bed at 9 o'clock on Old Year's night!
Anyway I think this is much better. The foreshores of Sydney harbour deserve to be loved this way.
Well it is really hot here at the present time and it is going to be hotter tomorrow-not looking forward to that. I wish everyone a very Happy New Year:)

Jim's Birthday!
Happy Birthday Cousin Jim! Eighty one years can you believe it?
We are still getting over Boxing Day but have at last got the house straight and all the dishes washed and away. Now is when I would like a dish washer but for the rest of the time Art and I can handle washing a couple of plates.
It was lovely having everyone here. We have some of the most beautiful granddaughters.
I gave the pavlova to the Johnsons, next door, as it was for 20 and Art and I would have had trouble wading through it.
I still have a cooler bag and a lovely Pyrex pie dish that someone is missing. I will ask on Facebook to whom these things belong:)
Some shots from Boxing Day which ended with a storm. The corellas new it was coming ,there were dozens of them flying around and they were squawking like mad.
I think everyone got home before it really hit.
Bye for now, Jane

I wonder!
Have a look at this wonderful book my son Scott and his wife, Beverley, gave me for Christmas. If you see it in the shop you must have a look. It is quite beautiful as well as totally fascinating.

December 23 2010
Well that old guy in the red suit is almost on his way. I am so relaxed I am a bit worried:) Have I forgotten something.?
I am so pleased Pam has had a minute to check out my blog, although I have been a bit slack lately with postings. In my defence though, I have written 12,000 plus words on my autobiography thingy. so I am pleased about that. God the woman can talk, I hear you say!
I have finished porcelain art for the year and should be able to concentrate on some birthday cards. I have already made two-one for Alannah and one for Daniel. So that is December and January taken care of, next up is Emma-February girl, then Rachel May baby. They are both 21 in 2011 so these cards will have to be special. I am not sure if Emma is still a practicing Jehovah's Witness but I think a 21st deserves some recognition.
Getting back to th porcelain art, I will publish photos of my latest pieces. These were supposed to be finished for the Springwood Exhibition but they (or I even) took too long to complete.

I love the way the two little vase, properly placed, the design looks like a bow.
Time for a cup of tea I think, but before I go I must download one more photograph:)
Isn't it beautiful?

This is why I have not been blogging lately:)
I have been very busy with Christmas cards-making and sending-but that is all done now so I can relax. Are you all ready for Christmas? The PAA(Porcelain Artists Association) Christmas party is over again for another year and we are having an extraordinary meeting in February as we are having problems with the lack of interest in people taking office. Sounds familiar I bet. We are all getting older and there appears not to be any young people interested in Porcelain art. I guess it is not instant enough for the young. Pity. The longer I practice the better it gets-not necessarily my painting- but the knowledge I gain. Now here are some of my latest cards.
I had such a good time at the Papercraft show at Penrith this year. That is where I learned to make the bauble. And the white and pink bauble above was another inspired by the show-Opals Embossing. Art has just made me a cup of tea so i am away now. Have a very Happy Christmas and a safe New Year.
