Some photos:)
I really am going to finish the Girl with the pearl earring... And these are a few of my latest cards.
Gazette due this week!
Well here I am again. I have been a bit slack lately as all the depressing things that have happened since the beginning of the year have weighed me down a little. I just could not believe the Tsunami in Japan. The photos were truly horrific and now the nuclear worry -it just doesn't improve a great deal. I was so thrilled to see that 80 year old lady and her grandson being rescued. I attended the St Marys Historical Society today to see the ladies dressed up as women from 1788 to the 1920's. They looked really good and told their stories well. Unfortunately I was seated in the middle of things and my photos are terrible. Although I am from Scotland and not St Marys I still found their stories interesting, it must be great if you are from the area.
I have to make an 1860's dress for a little girl called Skye, who attends St Marys Primary School. We(Encore) are dressing 5 children in the type of clothes they would have worn in the 1860's for their 150th school anniversary. I am looking forward to that I have to make her pantaloons too. Fay has taken a load of our china paintings to the Castle Hill Show. Some of Yuri's are absolutely beautiful so i guess she will win some prizes. Yuri is our Japanese friend at class. She had trouble contacting her brother in Tokyo but I think she has now heard from him it was difficult because there was no electricity and everyone was using their mobiles until they ran out of juice. Must have been a worry for her - and probably thousands of others..

March 6 and running...
I think I have my Mojo back-a little at least. I think all the floods and the earthquake have made me a little depressed-'cause there is nothing you can do but watch in horror.
Enough already. I am uploading some cards I have made for the hospital and a little of the stuff we are doing at Encore. So here goes hope you have a good day too.

February 27-can you believe it?
I cannot believe that it was the 3rd of February when I last blogged. Since then the Queensland disaster (and the Victorian floods too) are history and now poor Christchurch is getting its turn-terrible earthquakes and so many lives lost.
I remember when I was a little girl in Scotland the teacher told us that there were earthquakes in New Zealand and I decided I would never want to live there, so when Dad said we were moving to a country far away, I was relieved when he said it was Australia.
Funny the things we remember clearly from our childhoods.
But we have been to new Zealand and it is a beautiful place and I hope they can get over this tragedy.
I am reading a book at present about the Clydebank Blitz River of Fire by John McLeod and that is probably part of the reason for my Blog absence-I am hopeless when reading-that is all I do. It is raining today so i am going to make some cards-people seem to like them which gives me an excuse to make more!

After Cyclone Yasi Day!
What have the poor people of Queensland done to deserve all this terrible weather? I hope this is the end of it.
I think if we had an Australian Population of the year award on Australia Day, the QLD guys would have won it. And a huge thank you to those people doing the interpretation of speeches into sign language-I spent all my time watching them while listening to Premier Bligh.
Cannot stand this awful heat, as I walk around like some mindless idiot and achieve nothing.
Roll on Monday 25degrees:)
